Light to Night Festival

Wesley Leon Aroozoo

An adaptation of Wesley Leon Aroozoo’s novel I Want to Go Home was adapted as an immersive multi-sensory installation for the Open Books exhibition which was a part of the Light to Night Festival. The installation by Mural Lingo and The Arts House featured a commissioned mural art painting that integrates multimedia such as small-scale projection, soundscape and video art.

A success, the exhibition produced high visitor numbers with snaking queues. The exhibition is also complimented with an In Conversation dialogue with Wesley Leon Aroozoo and Miki Hawkinson, the translator of the novel.

The audio experience from the exhibition can also be experienced right from the comforts of your own home. Available on Spotify.
